Bluetooth ready notebook

So I am building a notebook for my girlfriend and one of the wireless options is bluetooth ready. What are the pros to getting a notebook that is Bluetooth ready? I am not even sure what you are able to do with that. I am sure it involves blackberries and cell phones, but the details elude me.

They make a good number of things with bluetooth capability. Most often used are cell phones, pda's, keyboards, mice, and headphones/headsets. It's just a wireless standard that can be used for many things.

I use bluetooth to sync files and info w/ my phone as well but it is by NO means limited to just that. I have a bluetooth printer, mouse, and keyboard and it's a joy not needing any cables, cords, or usb adapters to use all my stuff. Just turn it on and it works.

Oh that part IS nice! It's only $20, might as well upgrade to that.

With my Powerbook, you are also able to use bluetooth enabled cell phones to control a powerpoint/keynote presentation from across the room.
