I used to think the iPhone was overrated, until my wife bought me the 8Gb 3G and the $30 unlimited data-plan yesterday.

Surfing the web while in the recliner without having to futz with the laptop is just too convenient. (As an aside, BP needs a mobile theme. Ya know, since I'm sure Clarity doesn't have anything else to work on!)
But yeah, BN, if you want a new-fangled phone with data/Webs but aren't specifically using Exchange, the iPhone is going to have a lot more utility for you than a CrackBerry.
WiFi snooping/hijacking instead of running EDGE or 3G where available, iTunes audio + video + podcasts, Google maps w/ GPS, Web, Mail, IM, Remote Desktop to XP, VNC, Pandora, WeatherBug, YouTube ... there are just so many things an iPhone can do.
