Bill Mosiello (Former Buckeye Baseball Head Coach)

Kinda a head scratcher. Don't know the facts behind the decision, so take it for what it's worth. When family doesn't follow, for two years, handwriting is on the wall? Or maybe a case of the Peter Principal. One gets promoted one step beyond their level of competence. Having said that, Mosiello did elevate tOSU beyond where it was, much to the delight of Buckeye baseball fans, but not a terrible lot higher. Maybe style? Maybe didn't have enough good recruits? Played favorites? Don't get the premium posts, so maybe Dispatch goes into greater depth or conjecture? Let's see Bjork's chop level now. Can he entice a coach with promise to Buckeyeland? Here's hoping. Cannot believe that the baseball level in Central Ohio has sunk to the level that the City League cannot supply some dope players worth of an Ohio State schollie. Go Bucks!

You are never going to be able to recruit as well for baseball at a university outside the South. Weather provides a barrier, even when you have indoor facilities. I love Columbus. People here will say, "Oh no! Don't get him started on that!" That said, I could never live there again due to my having adjusted to tropical and subtropical climates that last two-thirds of my life.
