I can't reproduce that myself, what style (BP_DayGame, etc.) are you using?
Seems to be NightGame. The text links are white, highlight yellow.

Changes (in case they need to be rolled back):

Body > Normal Links CSS > Font color from #FFFFFF to #666666
Page Background > Font Color from #FFFFFF to #666666
Page Background > Normal Links CSS > Font color from default to #666666

All set with the navbar for tonight. If anyone sees an error or a page that looks odd, give a shout. :)

A few new features, most native to the forum software -

The login area now shows Your Notifications with more info than the Private Messages section we had before.

The search function has been revamped with new features (and may be reordered later).

There are a new Networking links in Quick Links.

The FAQ link now goes to the FAQ forum if you are logged in, so hopefully we will make better use of that area - 3yardsandacloud completely rocked that project, so we need to make sure people see it! No change for logged out users as yet.

Deety - I went to look at it, and I noticed this language. The last edit was so long ago I wondered if it were true. I post it so you can edit if need be.

"To request a Visiting Fan Badge, send a PM (Private Message) to vrbryant. NOTE: Badges are temporarily unavailable following a recent site upgrade. Your badge will be added once this function is restored.

The language filter seems to be malfunctioning for me. In bp_spy, I see Max Buck swear. But when I visit his post, it's [censored]. I scrolled down to check if I had popped back to the worksafe setting, but it was set to day game.

I see it censored as well, but the site is otherwise unfiltered. Maybe it was a manual edit before the timestamp deadline. If the issue repeats, give a shout.

I've been getting redirected to random threads everytime I try to follow a quote. The most recent being when I tried following the quote in the first post of the new SEC troll thread. It sent me to an Alan post apologizing for releasing too much info (must've paid full price) in the Andy Geiger thread.

That isn't the first time that it's happened to me though. Poli forum quotes that I've tried to follow have sent me to other random threads as well.

Weird. Have you seen it anywhere that doesn't seem to be a split thread? A few more examples would be helpful.

Anyway, here are some IDs for reference.

Game thread (pre-split)
= 606112
SEC troll thread (post split) = 609650
Geiger thread (redirect) = 9009

Post # referenced = 125079 (from SEC thread; not sure what it was while in the game thread)

It's happened three times, but I can't remember which thread I was in, and which it directed me too. The weird thing is, it happened to me at work and at home. I'll make sure to log it, if it happens again.

My BPspy window isn't scrolling/updating "real-time" like it used to (a few months ago) on Explorer. The "pause comments" button isn't on.

It's working fine on Chrome. New posts scroll down real time.

The only big difference I see b/w the two windows is that Explorer isn't loading the banner ad across the top next to the site logo. Chrome shows it.

I haven't checked to see if Firefox is having the same problem.

Anybody else notice this as well?

Passing this along from a PM

Virus?
Hey man,

Starting about an hour ago, my virus detection keeps tossing up a warning at me on every page of BP I visit. Don't know if someone hacked the site and planted it or not. Just giving you a lil heads up.
Here is a screen shot of the virus info

Nothing to worry about, I'm just collecting bank account information and passwords.

Honestly, not sure what would provoke that. Certainly not the site itself, that leaves the ad code, which is clean at the gateway level, and if it were caused by a particular advertiser, then it wouldn't be on every page.

Right now, I have to figure it's a false positive, or perhaps something local on his machine. Would definitely recommend Spybot S&D as a starting point, and/or visiting Muck's fine thread in the Computers forum for more spyware advice. There are a lot of people who run Avira here, so it's curious that we're not hearing more about it if indeed there's something there.

Ultimately, BP has no encrypted code anyway. vbSEO used to be, but it's not anymore and hasn't been for the last few generations. I run Firebug as well, which should be shrieking at me if there are bugs, but haven't seen anything there either.

Not sure where else to take this one. If more info comes through (code snippet identified as troublesome, etc.), would love to see it.

Did a bit of a google search, and I am going to assume this has something to do with the login cookie. I googled crypted.gen trojan and came up with a ton of false positives from other forums, mostly by the same antivirus software. Just a heads up.
