Buckeye fans now have another reason to watch the U.S. Army All-American game.

After recently visiting Ohio State for the Buckeyes come-from-behind victory over their arch-rival Michigan last month, Urban Meyer and crew are now even closer to adding one of the most sought after defensive backs in the country to the OSU roster.

On Saturday evening, five-star class of 2017 cornerback Jeffrey Okudah (Grand Prairie, TX / South Grand Prairie) took to his Twitter page to let the world know that he will announce his college decision on Jan. 7 during the U.S. Army All-American game in San Antonio.

Racking up over 30 full ride scholarship offers from quality programs, Okudah is considering suiting up on the college level at Ohio State, Oklahoma or Florida State.

Thought as a Buckeye lean throughout his recruitment, many around the scene believe the 6-foot-1, 190-pound standout will end up causing havoc for the Silver Bullets over the next few seasons.

When it comes to rankings, Okudah’s name is mentioned among the best the 2017 class has to offer. According to the 247Sports Composite, he’s currently considered the top cornerback, and seventh overall senior prospect in the country.

Johnson visits Tufele

Just like Okudah, four-star defensive tackle Jay Tufele (South Jordan, UT /Bingham) was on the Ohio State campus for the Buckeyes game against the Wolverines. The Utah native had the favor returned over the weekend.

Making the trek from Columbus to Utah to check in on Tufele, Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson did more than just preach the Buckeye gospel to the 6-foot-3, 300-pound U.S. Army All-American, he went to church with him, too.

Had awesome home visit with @R2X_Rushmen1 thanks for coming to church hope you enjoyed it! #GOBUCKS pic.twitter.com/g0Mtq9gFrQ

Very heavily recruited, Tufele has numerous programs duking it out for his pledge. Ohio State, Michigan, Utah, BYU and UCLA are just a few of the schools trying to sign the defensive lineman on the dotted line.
