Isn't Oberlin where Lena Dunham went?

Here's an older article (June 2, 2023) that I had missed; but it is interesting. Six additional schools have been admitted to AAU as new members:

The six new AAU schools and why it's important

Earlier this week, the American Association of Universities (AAU) admitted six new members to the association. Arizona State, University of California Riverside, Georgia Washington, Miami, Notre Dame, and South Florida.
.
.
.
This leads us back to why this week’s announcement is important for the future of college athletics. The three schools here that are of special intrigue are Arizona State, Miami, and Notre Dame.

Just sayin': It is interesting to know that Notre Dame and Miami are now AAU schools.

Good ESPN article concerning conference realignment:

College football 2024: Sizing up new-look SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and ACC

What new conference matchup are you most eager to see?

Which new matchup will be the hardest for you to wrap your brain around?

Which team's fortunes will change the most under the new alignment?

They are good teams. They will benefit and lose out due to travel time to games by the various teams. But, tough guys and wimps...reality check coming very quickly.
I'm curious to see if the roster composition is Big 10 ready-in terms of play style and weather.
Oregon is obviously a top team, but the others I'm not so sure about.

https://www.espn.com/college-footba...ces-14-team-college-football-playoff-momentum

The modeling is tricky, as college sports remain a moving target. This ESPN deal would run through the 2031 season, and it's naïve to think the conference map will look the same as it does today. One high-ranking official involved in the discussions told ESPN on Wednesday that the presidents and chancellors in both the SEC and Big Ten are having conversations about whether to continue their NCAA membership. It's a move that would impact and could possibly derail the TV agreement.

"Those conversations are happening," the source said, adding some feel "pretty strongly about pulling away. I'd say very strongly."

Yeah... M*ch*gan is going to get away with their cheating. I'm confident that the NCAA wouldn't do much to M*ch*gan. I'm even more confident that everyone is going to join whatever the new deal is with a completely blank slate.

Blow it up and cut out ESPiN
Wouldn't it be nice if that were feasible

But ESPiN took in over $17B in revenue in 2023

Disney's entertainment arm took in a lot more than double the revenue of the Sports arm (including ESPN), the sports arm earned > 70% more profit.

Think about that

> 70% more profit
On 42% of the revenue

If Disney has any sense at all, they'll pour MORE money into ESPN

And as long as they have billions of dollars; they'll have a seat at the table
