The KSB

4-4-11/11-5-11
So here I am stuck in the vast football wasteland known as Big 12 country. Where I'm at is a short drive to Norman, home of the Sooners. It's not too far up to Stillwater home of the OSU cowboys. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go to at least one game this year. I've narrowed it down to either OU vs. Washington, or OKie State vs. Nebraska. On the one side I liked Washington when they came to C-bus, I thougth their fans were really nice, plus it's a good school, if one of my daughters did decide to go to school on the west coast I think that one would be nice school for them to chose. Also the chance to see Adrian Peterson would be nice. On the other side I like Nebraska due to family ties to the program, I also really liked the Okie State fans that were here on the planet. One problem might be the fact that my entire family will be in our Buckeye gear. I don't know if there would be a sore spot still. I'm not ready to expose my daughter to the dark side of athletics just yet. So, which one would you chose.

OU vs. Washington could be over before halftime, but it has the potential to be the biggest upset of the season. However, it is the same day as the tOSU-Texas game. If the OU-Washington game is early, I guess that wouldn't be a problem.

Strictly from a spectator standpoint. I think the better game would be Okie Vs. Nebraska. At this point, I doubt that you would see too much animosity towards tOSU from when we handed them their ass a few years ago.

If you want to watch some live football out here, stick with Friday nights. Head over to 38th and Gore (Cameron University stadium) and check out the High School games on Friday nights. They have 3 major schools in Lawton (Lawton, Eisenhower, and Macarthur), and they are usually very competitive. Pretty good atmosphere for football, but their bands are atrocious. Overall, it should get your football "fix" on, while saving you money. Then, just spend the $100 on "Gameplan" to watch the Bucks on TV.

I just might have to do that. I live about two blocks from Cameron.
