Big 10 Basketball 2009-2010

Yeah, total beatdown in AA today, but UW has beaten UM like 8 times in a row now. I've been impressed with how the Badgers have regrouped from losing Leuer - if they get him back to full strength with enough time to readjust, they could make a pretty good run in the tourney - I think at full strength their team this year has more potential to advance moreso than many of their past teams because they look like they have more scoring threats - their past teams couldn't win a shootout, but this team might be able to. Hughes can create and has proven he can make the big baskets, Bohannon is a good shooter, Taylor has emerged as a pretty good scorer, and Leuer is the one who can score on anybody with his size and shooting ability. MSU made a run to the title game last year & Suton's productivity was one of the main reasons - Leuer gives UW a similar player.

Remaining schedules:
UW - ILL, IND, @ MIN, v NW, @ IND, IOW, @ ILL
OSU - @ IND, @ ILL, PUR, @ MSU, @ PSU, MICH, ILL

All it takes is one game, but Wisconsin has an easier finish to their year. Can't complain about this position given where things stood a month ago.

No big enough upsets with the big 4 to change year end projections from what it was last week. Illinois moved up to 10-8 from 9-9.

I agree that UW has an easier finish. They'll lose one of @MIN and @ILL, but I doubt they'll lose both, and I doubt they lose any of the others. I say they finish 6-1.

I think we'll go 5-2, losing @MSU, losing one of @ILL and vs. PUR, and winning the rest.
