Best Viewing Sections - Where would you sit?

Assistant to the Head Coach
I'm ordering tickets online, but I've only sat in Block O/south stadium. So before I purchase tickets to every home game, I want to make sure I get the best available..

A/AA, C/D, or South stadium? What would you recommend?

EDIT: I'm looking at pictures, and A/AA looks like the best option.

I don't like my odds of getting that seat. :tongue2:

But you recommend the C/D option?
D deck is hella far away... but, you can see the whole field without any problem from C and D...

BB73 had alumni tix to the Illinois game last year and I went with him. 19aa. Seats were awesome, it was hard, however, to see the far corners of the EZs. I completely missed the fumble on that kid's first carry, and aside from the scoreboard, had no clue where they were lining up for the next play (aside from it being way too far down field.. lol) Still, Unless you're behind a post in B or one of the ones near the corner of the press box, you really can't go wrong. I prefer closer to mid field, of course...

For me, I like C Deck, 50 yardline, front row.

Even when I can't get midfield I'll take C deck. I've been in AA more than once and really couldn't see shit unless they were right in front of me. Had B twice - stuck behind a pole once and didn't like being under the deck, either time. And D, might as well be in the blimp.

You would've really hated being on the track!

D deck is NO DIFFERENT (in altitude) than C Deck on the East side.

A Deck near the middle of the field, about 15-20 rows up. The seats directly behind an exit are by far the best the best. You have an unobstructed view of the field, can set your drinks and food down on the ledge in front of you, and kick your legs up and relax before the game.

I remember the track, and feeling sorry for the people down there trying to actually see the game. I like the team, but I'd rather see the game than stare at the backs of the guys on the bench for 3 hours.

Sounds great...now who would one, theoretically, have to blow to actually get those seats.

I got A/AA.. the guy I'm going with has a fear of heights. Didn't know that. Hopefully we're mid-field.

But for future reference, it sounds like C deck is the way to go. :tongue2:

EDIT: I'm actually going to be in A.

Yep, that's where my Club Seats are in Club 5 on the 30 yrd line. 7 rows up directly behind the entry/exit portal. NOBODY in front of you and you can place your drinks and whatnot on the ledge as you said. Of course I don't use the tickets...

I sat in A (9A specifically) my freshman year and hated it. It wasn't the seats, but who I get stuck sitting around. There were some students around me, but most everyone around me were adults. (No offense to you old timers out there, but I don't think you'd have wanted to be sitting next to a bunch of people 20 years your senior when you were in college. :p) I'd much, much rather be sitting in C in the big crowd of students.
