Best Music You've Discovered Lately?

I have re-discovered The Killers, Codeseven (I'd recommend these guys for Tool, Dredg, APC fans), Audioslave, and the following guilty pleasure..

Paramore

Haven't heard many albums I've liked lately.. The Parlor Mob's And You Were a Crow and Opeth's Watershed are probably the only two albums that I've really loved from this year.

Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver. They're both fantastic.

Fleet Foxes is fantastic. My Morning Jacket and The Hold Steady are here to save American Rock & Roll.

Just started listening to Fleet Foxes. Good stuff.

The new MMJ material is very questionable though, IMO.

This seems like a bit of a down year for music for my tastes. Left of Center on Sirius seems content to play M.I.A. and Santogold non-stop, so I've kinda tuned out lately.

I agree...It definitely is a departure from their previous material, although it has its moments.

Lately, I've been listening to:

Albert Hammond, Jr. - guitarist from the Strokes, solo albums are good
MGMT - catchy electro-pop
We Are Scientists
Fleet Foxes
Mates Of State
The Thermals - punk/garage

Some ESSENTIALS if you haven't heard them:

Arcade Fire
Kings Of Leon
The Decemberists
Wilco
Wolfmother - Sabbath + Zeppelin + White Stripes = Wolfmother
Ted Leo + Pharmacists
The Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare is one of my faves
Bloc Party
Daft Punk
Ryan Adams & The Cardinals
Pavement
Plus the already mentioned Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, and Hold Steady.

I'm liking Jose Gonzalez and Andrew Bird a lot lately as well.

I'm sooo bummed that Muxtape is shut down. Fucking RIAA. That was one site where I discovered new music. It seems like the RIAA isn't doing themselves any favors by shutting this site down.

Most of my favorites right now have been mentioned. For the Kings of Leon, Band of Horses, Decemberist, etc. crowd I'll throw out Wolf Parade, Tarkio,

and these are actually the last three songs I just listened too

Stephen Malkmus ( Deety i'm sure you'd like the guitar solo in this video) also I think he did the singing for Cate Blanchett's (sp?) part in the Bob Dylan movie I'm Not There.

Lazlo, I really enjoyed Malkmus's last album, Real Emotional Trash. Have you heard it?

Actually got it about a week ago, but haven't listened to it all the way through yet. Liked what i've heard so far though.

Listen to it a lot. However, it might not last long either.
Report: Fees may sink Pandora soon | News - Digital Media - CNET News.com

That sucks, but made me start searching for some alternatives. Try out jango.com if you haven't yet. So far I've been able to find whatever song i've looked for and can listen to it right away unlike Pandora. Just started listening so I'm not sure how the selection on the stations are yet, but pretty cool up to this point.
