Best Casino in Chicagoland Area

BigWoof31

"Barkin' up the wrong tree"
So my friends are idiots.
I live 1000 miles away in Atlanta and they leave me to planning an evenings worth of activities for a bachelor party in Chicago.

Dinner and a night of gambling - shouldn't be too hard. Zagats for a good reservation on Taylor Street and then a bus to a Casino. But which one?

I didn't realize Chicago had so many gambling options for young sophisticates like our group. Can anyone make any recommendations? Usually Harrah's is a safe play - but Joliet seems kinda far. My one friend keeps talking about "The Boat" but most of our group has had bad experiences at riverboat gambling facilities before.

Requirements:

1. Given the fact this isn't Vegas - we'd like to keep it somewhat clean. I don't want 55 year old women rubbing my cock under the table if I get a hot craps roll and make a couple hundred bucks.

2. Speaking of craps - we all like to play it. Any casino must have it.

3. Ideally -we'd like to keep commute under 45 minutes.

4. Complimentary drinks? You have my full attention.

Thoughts?

I live near Chicago, but I can't help - your desires are the complete opposite of mine.

The Horseshoe casino. It just got like a 50 million dollar reservation, and no casino in the area even comes CLOSE to it. PLUS, it's the closest casino to downtown Chicago. I've been to every casino in the area quite often, nothing really comes close. This is my home away from home these days. Unfortunately, in Indiana it's illegal to give out complimentary drinks so you won't be finding that anywhere around here.

Do the ones in Illinois give out free drinks?

As SOUL stated above, Horseshoe is hands down your best option. The steakhouse there is actually surprisingly very good.

Are you kidding me? Surprised to find good steak in Chicagoland? Anyway, the buffet's really a strong option too... but you've already got your food picked out it seems.
