Best Buckeye hits of all time!!

Also, Steve Bellisari knocked the crap out of a UCLA defensive lineman in his first start at the shoe. It was a reverse play, and Bellisari ended up as the lead blocker.

That was a good hit.

Which reminds me of Zwick's hit on someone in the Alamo Bowl. Someone has a picture of that in his avatar.

Maybe not as hard a hit as some of the others, but one of my favorites was when Santonio "de-cleated" one of the Notre Dame LB's (Mays, I believe) during Ginn's reverse for a TD in the Fiesta Bowl. Then, Holmes had the presence of mind to lay down another block while the first ND player was still flat on his back. Nice!

I can't remember the player or the opponent. But it was the 2002 season and it was on the pre-game show on the scoreboard during the 2003 season. The opposing quarterback was trying to avoid the sack. He avoided one or two guys, but someone knocked the ball out of his hands. The QB was able to pick the ball up quickly, and he thought he might have escaped the sack and head up field. But just as he looked up after picking up the ball, there was a defensive lineman to knock him on his ass. I don't think it was Texas Tech. But it might have been. I think it was later in the year, though.

It starts at the 15 second mark.

Ohh so you are saying we really were not the best team in the nation and we had to have a star player go down to win. Your a Buckeye fan right?

Softie... Nope it is called class and I for one do not like to see kids get hurt like that. Football is a contact sport and people can get hurt but I will never celebrate that, ever.

So many things wrong with this post:

A. Really, can you have more grammar errors in one post. I realize I might be arguing with a 12 year old, but come on, the education system can't be that bad in Florida. Thump, did your janitor move?

B. Please refer me to said article about classless fans, and for gods sake do not link me to a Michigan site saying we are the classless fans. That was classic, Michigan fans thinks we are classless. Who would have thought?

C. If you can not discern the difference between rowdy and classless then there is less hope for you then I originally thought. It is a shame we have "fans" like you to ruin the reputation that the majority of great fans and people built who represent Ohio State.

All that aside, you are 100% correct this thread was great until one classless individual has to brag about how great it was to destroy a kids knee in a game. I am also to blame to adding to this, but it is disgusting in my opinion to have that put up as one of the best Buckeye hits of all time.

Back on topic, I agree the hit Salley had on Williams during the Washington game was awesome. Not the biggest hit, but it was awesome nonetheless.

You really are clueless. My favorite hit is the one you'll get to your reputation for nearly every post you make.
