I'd agree. I've been hit in the head with a raw beet before and I can't imagine brussel sprouts feeling anything like that.

How can "beet" not be the answer, given that it even sounds like "beat"? Besides, Brussel sprouts reference Belgium, which is pretty much a half-ass version of France and therefore cannot be associated with any sort of martial success. I'm just going to get on top of a building and do a Letterman-style "beet-down" on pedestrians with a beet like this:
