It's a tough time of year for plumbers and electricians as the weather plays havoc with pipes and gas lines and wires. We had some New Years "visitors" decapitate our gas meter! Then they didn't report it !
Woke up New Years Eve morning to no heat or hot water or ability to cook! Gas was running unchecked at the meters for 10 hours! Could have been one hell of an explosion.
Try getting a plumber out on Dec 31!
But with great appreciation to a local plumber and gas company we were up again by 6:30 pm! Plumbing bill for just our part of the 2 meters that were destroyed was $1000! The "visitors" have promised to pay for all damages.
We'll see.
