I see absolutely nothing wrong with my post.. if any of the folks responding to it have seen Chris Wells play... in person... I'm listening... but I've heard from numerous folks in Akron that have seen Wells play... and insist he's even better on the defensive side...

Against Hoban, Wells was the second best back on his team... but was the key defensive reason Sutton didn't get 400 yards... I believe I heard.. Wells was almost unblockable...

Moline has played outstanding against some of the finest teams in CA... and if you look back, I was the one who screamed for the Moline thread to be started last year... so I admit, I am a Moline junkie... He's a tank... ask all that have seen him... in person...

We don't offer nor get Moline with Wells seeded at FB... but a little juggling and there's significant chance to end up with two studs... Powder leads merely because Scarlet hasn't chosen to ante up yet...

Chris Wells is not going to be a FB though... he will be a TB.

why don't we move teddy ginn to defensive tackle?
if.. last year at this time... someone would have posed to move the consensus #1 DB in the land... to flanker... you would have thought that pretty crazy too

athletes as talented as Ginn and C Wells can play various positions... I venture to guess most of the current defense were excellent when they played offense in HS as well...
=============
Bgriff... you may be right... but when I think of a HS Sr at 230 already (virtually exact size as Moline BTW)... it's tough to imagine him not being a FB... since the college weightroom will continue to add bulk...
=============
mods.. good move to new thread... wasn't fair to Moline to have this going on in his thread... nor to Beanie...

so you essentially want to move the #1 preseason rated rb to lb, on a team that only has 3 scholarship rb's, one of which was banged up for a chunk of the year, one who has not played one down, and the other isnt even on campus yet.

not smart.

not eliminating a back.. making room for another back... a premier FB... while maintaining a backup scenario in which you can bring in a RB from the LB corp if needed

BTW... we just took the preseason #1 CB in the land... and moved him to offense... despite not having the most dominating CB crew... and then losing the most experienced one for a significant part of the season... and that worked out pretty well didn't it...

Did you tell Tressel how dumb he was to propose moving Ginn or did I miss that part?
