BCS Title Game: LSU +1.5 vs Bama (ov/un 40.5) Mon Jan 9th 8 ET, ESPN

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not just boycotting this game and punishing myself by missing it. I honestly don't find the match up the least bit compelling at all.

Stanford versus Alabama would've been compelling. I definitely would've watched it.

LSU versus Oklahoma State would've been compelling. I definitely would've watched it, too.

Oklahoma State versus Stanford is also compelling, and I'm watching it.

LSU-Alabama is uninteresting. I've already seen it. More importantly, it contradicts the defenders of the status quo and "the season IS the playoff" nonsense I've heard too many times. The fact is, most games are meaningless to the BCS title. And this rematch is the ultimate proof of it. The first LSU-Alabama game didn't mean a thing. If it did, they wouldn't be playing each other again.

Let me know how it turns out. :ohwell:

Don't even get me started of the fairness (if bammer wins) of LSU having to win on the road while bammer gets a neutral site...bullspunk.

I almost hope it happens, as it may result in an actual war between two states.

i'm all for a war between Louisiana and Alabama.
i just don't want us losing a football game, so we'll have to start it some other way.

Hold on a minute!

If it helps destroy Mississippi...

do you think anyone would notice if Mississippi ever disappeared?

Call in to Finebull's show and talk some shit. Half the backwoods state of 'Bama is on there ranting and raving on a daily basis. By the time you get done, you can rest assured we'd have Civil War II.

BTW

I don't think this game will be anything like the first one. Jarrett Lee was the QB then because Jefferson was serving his suspension for curb stomping a guy (basically, LOL).

When he came back, they started just running through folks no matter what the situation was.

Oregon and WVU's wins in their BCS games only further underscore LSU's superiority this season. They were clearly the most accomplished team and it's not even close. It's not just unfair that they have to play in a rematch, it's unfair that they have to play this game at all.
