You just contradicted yourself (again) within one paragraph. Either the O-line wasn't blocking well enough to get the passes off or Todd was holding onto the ball too long....make up my mind here....It didn't help matters that TB wanted to write a novel while he was standing there..or before he would take off for a 1 yard scamper There is a reason receivers were never open. There is a reason TB wouldn't throw the ball. Just like TS didn't a few years ago against florida...
Just stop......Two years ago they could match up with anyone in the country and their offensive line was humiliated in a national title game as well if you remember correctly by a team that didn't appear to be playing on the same level as OSU.
You mean like making excuses for obvious and admitted Roiders???If OSU's defense would have performed like LSU's then we would have never stopped hearing how this could be the best defense in OSU history..It's just different when it's the other team..Stats are overlooked and excuses are made.
Horseshit. Ohio State gave the game away with stupid penalties, turnovers and a major screw up (although with the right intent) in special teams.LSU had more depth and more talent overall this year, and were better coached. That's how teams win..OSU didn't "give" that game away. LSU took it from them. There is a difference. It was apparent when OSU's defense couldn't contain anyone on LSU's offense. Were we watching the same game?
I could ask you the same thing.....Were we watching the same game?

First, Robo didn't drop the pass. As a picture showed in an earlier thread, the defensive back popped it out. Whether he bobbled it or whatever, he didn't bring it down finally because of a good defensive play.
Second, to the victor go the spoils. Fans rarely turn out to celebrate the return of a team that fails to meet its expectations and Ohio State fans have unrealistic expectations.
This team doesn't owe anyone an apology. They had a great year. We can all be proud of them.
I'm anxious to see how they do next year.

And Troy had issues LAST YEAR, not "a few years ago"......

People can say it's a "conference pride" thing all they want. This is crap.
What it is is yet another replay of the Civil War/"War of Northern Aggression" tension, a variation on "cornpone, grits and chitlins beats the hell out of Yankee potroast, y'all". Likewise for the whole "those nawthawn boys is slowww" trope. As well as "those nawthawn boys is mean and unfriendly".
Hide an unpleasant putdown behind hospitality and a drawl and it doesn't make it right, fellas.
There's my two cents.
Gatorubet;1065514; said:I support to the death your right to make uneducated guesses about the SEC chant thingy:tongue2:.
I mean, the fact that we use it when playing fellow Stars and Bars state teams like FSU and most ACC teams seems to negate that Second War Between The States opinion.
And really, if you think that "S-E-C" is an "unpleasent putdown" you need to get out more and thicken up that epidermal layer some.
We have intense Conference pride. Nothing more complex that that. You just don't get it, and never will.
