Mel Kiper listed the most promising future professional prospects in a column around the turn of the year. In the sophomore "class," he listed Santonio first among wide receivers despite his somewhat down year. He listed three Buckeyes among the promising players in the freshman class:

BTW, Kiper also has been scouting all of the players out for the Senior Bowl, and he indicated that Nugent is one of the ten most impressive players in the practices and that he has a good shot at seeing the second round.
