Living vicariously through M*ch*g*n should be a dingable offense...BuckTwenty;1730865; said:The flagship university in the state just north of us has a winning record against the SEC and knocked off Tebow and the mighty Florida Gators in the last bowl game they played in. How do you explain that one, Jimbo?

jmiaj332 here is a little comparison for you to ponder:
Final Record........Year.........Final AP Poll............Final Coaches Poll
Alabama/Ohio State....................Alabama/Ohio State.......Alabama/Ohio State
8-3 / 11-2........1995.........21 / 6...................NR / 8
10-3 / 11-1......1996.........11 / 2...................11 / 2
4-7 / 10-3........1997.........NR / 12.................NR / 12
7-5 / 11-1........1998.........NR / 2...................NR / 2
10-3 / 6-6........1999..........8 / NR...................8 / NR
3-8 / 8-4..........2000.........NR / NR.................NR / NR
7-5 / 7-5..........2001.........NR / NR.................NR / NR
10-3 / 14-0......2002.........11 / 1....................NR / 1
4-9 / 11-2........2003.........NR / 4...................NR / 4
6-6 / 8-4..........2004.........NR / 20.................NR / 19
0-2* / 10-2......2005..........8* / 4...................8* / 4
0-7* / 12-1......2006.........NR / 2...................NR / 2
2-6* / 11-2......2007.........NR / 5...................NR / 4
12-2 / 10-3......2008..........6 / 9....................6 / 11
14-0 / 11-2......2009..........1 / 5......................1 / 5
Based on the most recent data of the past 15 years:
Winning percentage - Ohio State 79.89% Alabama 58.43%*
Win/loss record - Ohio State 151-38 Alabama 97-69*
Each team has won just one NC. (both 14-0 seasons)
Alabama has recorded ten wins in a season 5 of 15 times (33.33%)*
Ohio State has recorded ten wins in a season 11 of 15 times (73.33%)
Alabama finished in the top 25 AP Poll 6 of 15 times (40.00%)*
Ohio State finished in the top 25 AP Poll 12 of 15 times (80.00%)
Alabama finished in the top 25 coaches poll 4 of 15 times (26.67%)*
Ohio State finished in the top 25 coaches poll 12 of 15 times (80.00%)
Alabama finished their season ranked higher than Ohio State 3 times.
Ohio State finished their season ranked higher than Amabama 10 times.
*Alabama finished 10-2, 6-7, 7-6 2005-07 respectively but were required to vacate wins due to a textbook scandal. Alabama appealed but the NCAA rejected that appeal in March 2010.
Take out the appeal and look at the numbers:
Winning percentage - Ohio State 79.89% Alabama 63.10%
Win/loss record - Ohio State 151-38 Alabama 118-69
Alabama has recorded ten wins in a season 6 of 15 times (40.00%)
Ohio State has recorded ten wins in a season 11 of 15 times (73.33%)
Alabama finished in the top 25 AP Poll 7 of 15 times (46.67%)
Ohio State finished in the top 25 AP Poll 12 of 15 times (80.00%)
Alabama finished in the top 25 coaches poll 5 of 15 times (33.33%)
Ohio State finished in the top 25 coaches poll 12 of 15 times (80.00%)
Alabama finished their season ranked higher than Ohio State 3 times.
Ohio State still finished their season ranked higher than Amabama 10 times.
So, let me get this straight, win a NC after underacheiving for the last 15 years and go around and talk smack about southern speed. Got it.

jmiaj332;1731054; said:with all the leagues moven teams around i'm glad the sec didnt change anybody, now braska coming to big ten looks good for big ten that they have more compitetion, i got question here and give answer thats you use head to answer, now if ohio would come play in sec where do they stack up for first year they play in sec, i think they could do good after in sec for maybe 3 years and adjust to that souther style but the first year maybe they go 4 and 4, if bama went to big ten i think they get 1st or 2nd and have tough game with buckeye and maybe penn st boys but wipe everyone else off the map, believe you me tuscaloosa hard place to play ball, fans get loud here and most team fold early, i like qb priyour and believe me this boy can play, we take him in a minute here.
