It's such a narcissistic dickhead move you have to respect it. I think if Hal Steinbrenner announced he was doing one of these the fans would throw them all on the field in protest.

They've done some things....not much I've agreed with on the FA front but it's not like they've been totally inactive.
He did beef up their international scouting system. Hopefully it pays dividends down the road. And they are spending like $400 million to give Camden Yards a facelift.
