Game Thread Ball State at tOSU, Sat. Sept. 5th, 12:30 ET BTN

Through the first half:

Things I liked:

1. 36 offensive plays.
2. Only one penalty, and although it was a bad one in a situation when it wasn't necessary, it was one of aggression.
3. The variety in and most of the execution of the passing game.
4. Julian running one in.
5. No obvious blown assignments on D. Very solid play overall, despite week 1 meh tackling.
6. An INT!

Things I didn't like:

1. Losing hidden yards with special teams. They finally hired a proven dedicated coach for it and it's still the same old shit.
2. Run blocking and lack of offensive physicality generally.
3. Phillip Daniels in pass blocking.
4. Lack of havoc from the D. As good as last year's D was at being watertight, it didn't make a lot of game changing turnover plays. Let's see more of those this year.

The run blocking looked good under center early, but since the first 2 drives it’s been closer to a 7-7 practice than a full game plan. Still need to run out of shotgun and block stunts. Not great that it’s still an issue.

Defense looks fine. Just settle in and get experience as a unit. Going to have some bumps will all the new starters.
D's only issue besides a few flub plays that will happen with a bunch of new starters is tackling
