I get the insubordination. Maybe they’re testing him and the kid is failing. He’s gotta listen to his captain. But come on, it’s 3 yards deep.

Guess all Day knows is fair catches though.

He got to the 10 and the 16, instead of the 25, so that's 34 yards of stat padding required for the offense. Sure, it's Ball State, but can't always put the offense at a disadvantage. Catch it on the line, run it out, catch it 5 yards deep, just take the 25 and let the offense get to work.

And that’s the thing… look I want to run the ball but if that’s not our strong suite then just don’t do it.

They're going to have to run it at some AND the pass pro has been shaky. Honestly the OL so far might look a little worse than last year unless Ball State is just a much better team than we thought. Last year the OL didn't have much of a problem pushing lesser opponents around.

I don't believe that the linemen that we have had for the 2nd year now can't do the job, at least at a serviceable level. They just look slow and confused. This is a scheme problem. Shouldn't be seeing this by game day.

Good Things:

1. Julian is as advertised. Looks great even under pressure. Throwing lasers. Showing mobility.

2. JJ is a God on the field.

3. Mccuin and Innis have looked good.

4. Secondary has looked good for the most part.

5. Getting a lot of pressure on QB, just haven't finished.

6. Run D has been solid.

7. Wilder is a bull in the China shop, keep him on the field.

8. 2 minute offense ran to perfection. Two drives over 90 yards.


Concerns:

1. The run game has been almost ineffective. RBs look average at best, oline getting no push. 2.1 yards per carry against Ball Fucking State wtf...

2. Daniels has not improved to my untrained eye.

3. Legend Bey making freshman mistakes

4. Defense out of position a couple of times

5. Missed tackles
