Injured Ball State WR Love will likely never play again

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State officials say injured receiver Dante Love will likely never play football again.

Love was hurt during a game at Indiana on Saturday night and underwent a 5-hour operation on Sunday for a broken spine and an injury to his spinal cord.

A statement released Monday by the Ball State athletic department says Love is expected to be able "to live a normal and healthy life" outside of football after rehabilitation.

The university says Love has no paralysis in his arms or legs.

Ball State is clearly the class of the MAC.

Of course, that is like saying "I made out with the hottest girl at the 4H exhibit." It's bragging - but it doesn't earn you alot of style points.

Was at the game...pretty horrific stuff to witness, though no one had a clue at the time.
