Not whining or complaining, but from what I could see on tv, the pass interference (alleged pick) by R. Hall that wiped out Bam Childress's TD was a bad call.
I admit that there weren't real good camera angles on the replays, but I swear Hall was being blocked beyond 5 yards of the LOS and he was trying his best to get away from the blocking w/o holding or grabbing. The defender was clearly the instigator/aggressor.
I haven't heard anybody else complain about the call, so I was wondering if anybody at the game caught what happened on that play for sure, or if anybody else had a different opinion who saw it on tv. I taped the game and watched that play at least 5 times.
I'd like to know if I've lost my mind or what, so I'd like to hear other opinions. Thanks in advance.

The call was questionable. It appeared that Roy did not initiate the contact, but he he did seem to try to break free by grabbing at the jersey of the defender.

To me, that should not have been called. WSU, SDSU, Purdue, MSU, TT and NW get away with it all day against us. So why is only called on us when it wasn't a legit call in my mind? Because we're OSU.

Thanks scooter. The replays were horrible on tv so it was hard for me to be sure what happened, but all I could really see was him being blocked downfield and his arms flailing trying to break free.

Oh well, luckily it didn't matter in the outcome of the game.
Would've loved to see Bam get the TD though.

I have a feeling he'll make up for it this week.

I honestly thought it was a good call and we would all be bitching if that happened to one of our DB's. I rewatched it a couple times Tuesday night and both angles seemed to indicate Hall was at fault. I look for him to have a big game this weekend.

Sorry to rain on your parade but it was a good call. Pretty much any contact down field will draw a flag, especially when it leads to someone getting as wide open as Bam.

See, I thought it was a good call in the sense that there was illegal contact, but I didn't like it because I felt like it didn't impact the play, really... but the reality is that the catch, the foul and the referee were kind of all aligned in such a way that the flag's going to come out most of the time because everything happened in the ref's line of sight...

BTown- When I saw the first replay, I did think that the defender initiated the contact as well....

ummmmmmm....do i have to show you guys a calendar to make you realize you are talking about a play from 6 days ago....in a game we won?
Oddly, we can keep time too. Its a discussion.

If we're still crying about it 19 months from now, we're all qualified to be Miami fans.

Jsut the title of this thread gave me bad spine chills, recalling Dan Fouts' whining as he ignored the ref making both a holding and a pass interference signal to the umpire.
