SparkyOSU

...????
I have been seeing and receiving letters on mySpace telling people to turn their backs on scUM when they come out. I heard something like this for the Texas and Penn State game. I guess they got about 4000 people in one section to do it.

I think who started this is right. What would you think if you walked into a stadium where 100,000 people coordinated to turn their backs!

I don't like the idea. As much as I want us to beat scUM, I think this is a sign of disrespect and would be a poor showing on behalf of our fans. No need to make our great university look bad by doing stuff like this.

Seems awfully immature to me.....

Is it really that much worse than the booing? imo it just sounds like something else the crowd can do instead of booing to try to intimidate the other team. My HS did this at all of our games, as did all the other teams in our league. All the schools in my HS's league have healthy rivalries but all respected each other (for the most part) and no one really ever took offense to this.

Has anybody who likes this idea, or is saying we need something better than booing, ever been to The Game??? The booing when Michigan takes the field is one of the best moments of the game. It's loud as hell. I don't usually boo other teams, but I do during this game and I love it.

It's so great you usually can't even hear their band when they take the field before the game...during the fight song all you hear is booing...and during the rest all you hear is "Let's Go Bucks!" chants.

And lastly, why would I want to turn my back for one second during any part of this game...before, during, or after.

Like i've said before...hate Michigan, but don't disrespect them. Booing is hate in my eyes. Turning your back would be disrespect...and childish.

I like a good, loud, SHORT boo. And then let's play the game.

Turning your back?? Only if you flip up your skirt and moon them.

But if you're a man, no.

I went and saw OSU beat scUM in Yost arena last year, and the students at scUM do a LOT of dumb, bush league stuff (Ugly Goalie chants).

Turning your back is just a weird way to show your support for the Buckeyes!

Go Bucks!
