What makes me love Sermon today was 1) He was a transfer/backup most of his OSU career, 2) he did this in the Championship game against a top run defense (2?) in the country and 3) he pretty much did most of it in the 4th Q.
Also props to the O-line.

He could've gone for 400+ had we went to the run earlier too... I disagree with Coach Day that our aggressiveness throwing early helped Sermon.

NW knew we went run exclusively in the 2nd half and just couldn't stop it. The threat of the throw did absolutely no favors to Sermon because there pretty much wasn't a threat of the throw.

Sermon went off with the help of nothing other than outstanding offensive line and tight end run blocking.
