After flushing the Turd last week it looks like I'm in for more of a challenge from Sears' cursed crew this week. I really hope my aces start aceing (SP) or this is going to be a long week since my best pitchers are only going to get one start.
I would like to send a big F U to the Indians bullpen for screwing CC out of 2 wins last week. He has pitched 15 of what should have been 18 innings given up 3 runs and still doesn't have a win. There is something very wrong here.
At least I get at least 3 starts against the AL central leading Tigers this week.
 
My squad is riding high on the hog, although it is just the first week. I'm in an eleven team, AL-only league - each team gets one NL player. Auction-style draft, 23 players, $26 salary cap. Since I was the new team, I got to keep three players with salaries between $2.00 and $3.50 who weren't one of the five players kept by each of the other ten teams. Complicated, yes. But whatever. For a $1250 first prize, ($240+ entry fee), I can endure complication. Anyway, here's my team, with my expansion keepers marked with *s.

Damnit Sears you're killing me 11-2. At least all of my pitchers pitch in the next 3 days so I should improve a little bit. All I have on the pitching side so far is Riske giving up one run in one inning. At least I have your boy Lowe pitching today (maybe) so you have to root for me. :tongue2:

I won't be too surprised to see my team implode later in the week. My team seems to fade as the week transpires.

I'll definitely be pulling for Lowe. My fantasy baseball matchup will do nothing to discourage me from rooting for my Sox. I don't wanna see him throw a shutout though.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Jim Thome, could you please let me know?

Damn you and your Sox Sears!!!

It looks like after 2 rainouts Lowe's next start got moved to next week so you get to make it a whole week without one of my best pitchers pitching.

May the Curse last forever!!! :tongue2:
