I like authentic jerseys, but I have to admit I bought a replica throwback of a Spielman jersey from Headmaster. It is by far one of the best jerseys I own. I have plenty of authentic baseball, football, and hockey jerseys (or sweaters in the case of hockey). Yet this is as good of quality, and I'm a big throwback fan. On top of that it's $80. They also make a Tatum jersey with the old black numbers on the sleeves.
For me, I like to buy a top quality jersey that I can wear for years. Nothing worse than a guy that wears out their welcome or fizzles out. Not to say AJ or TG will do that. Yet I love to pay homage to the greats like Spielman (my favorite Buckeye). I wear it every Saturday, and get all kinds of complements on the quality of the jersey. For $80 it's hard to beat. No, there is no Nike swoosh, but it that really worth $70?
BTW...no, there is no elastic band around the arms, and the white and gray stripes go all the way around. Yet that only looks good if you have big guns and are wearing shoulder pads. Honestly, authentic football jerseys are the worst for fans. They are made for big guys in shoulder pads. Just my thought, and no I am not pushing the aformentioned product for any reason. I am just pleased with the overall quality of the product, and it works great for a fan.
