How much of a down year is it in football?

I mean really folks - Oregon and Auburn are the two "best" teams in football right now.


I'll give it to Auburn, they've played some pretty damn good teams. But the Ducks? - GTFO.
Put them against a team with a defensive pulse and a steady offense and you'll see the problem with Chip Kelly's scheme.


I just wish the Bucks would have taken care of business in Madison. I'd love a shot at either of these two teams.

Would we get a shot? Computers would most certainly have us ranked 3rd or lower. There would be a hell of a debate..likely between Ohio State and Oregon. Sick to say but it would probably be up to ESPN, because the voters do whatever they tell them to. Would winning the Rose Bowl last year be the selling point? We'd definitely have the worst SOS of the 3 teams though.

If the Bucks were 12-0 and left out of the BCS title game for Oregon and Auburn this board would go nuts.

But remember, we were ranked #1 in both polls when we lost at Wiscy. If we had won we'd still be #1 in both, so the computers wouldn't have been able to keep us out of the title game. The polls are 2/3 of the BCS.
