Not even the Barners are dumb enought to yell a conference cheer after that abortion. Hats off to the Cats, and here's hoping that they get the win next year.

I don't get that call at all...

Was a GREAT game...

Very sloppy, but very hard fought...

I don't hate the call to go for it, but I hate the call to go for it on a fake...to that side of the field, with that play...

Gutsy call, but I feel like Fitz just blew what could've been his best coached game in his career...

I think he could've picked out a backup LB and made that kick. That probably wasn't the point though. Fitz probably thought that the longer the thing went on, the less likely he was to pull it out. Hell, they game almost ended two other times in that OT and they barely made it there in the first place. I'm inclined to think that was their last best chance to pull it off - the play just didn't work out.

You have to go for it. If you settle for the FG, which you might miss, you have to turn around and run another drive with your battered QB. If he continues to struggle in the redzone (likely), then you're back to relying on your (walkon?) new kicker to kick a FG that might not keep pace anyway.

Right idea, wrong call.

...The Auburn DL was abusing the NW line in that last OT. Another OT was not going to go well for NW in my opinion.

Wow Auburn with the stupidest call ever... They were better of just going for it for real instead of a fake and it was a very short FG I could have made that... Seriously I've done it before

Northwestern played a great game and had a great comeback but they had some pretty stupid play calling in the entire OT period on offense. I understand you can't turn the ball over but they needed to take a shot at the end of the game there after their kicker was injured.
