Some observations
1. Boy, some of us are still bitter about January 8th, it seems. I guess can see where most of you are coming from, given that 90% of UF fans on the internets have been pretty crass and classless since the debacle. They're tearing themselves apart on their forums, apparently not realizing the polls think a 2-loss SEC team is a better team than an undefeated team from any other major conference (because the polls are retarded).
2. It was nice to see the looks on Gator fans' faces when they were down 14-0 and 17-3. The girl with the Gator head crying was a classic. The entire show was almost as nice as Michigan fans against App St and Oregon. Almost.
3. The Auburn kicker's chomp at the end was priceless. Takes guts to do it, even if the game is over. You know the crowd will give him hell the next time he's there. It probably won't matter; he's clutch. Is it me, or is the Swamp not as tough to play in as it's cracked up to be?
4. Where has this Brandon Cox been? Tiger fans have been calling for his head since the beginning of last year, and Tuberville has stuck with for reasons beyond, well, everyone. I guess this win coupled with winning out in-conference proves Tuberville right. It probably won't happen. Tubes needs to get another home meltdown out of his system before the year is out.
5. By the polling logic shoved down our throats by certain unnamed entities... Mississippi State>Auburn>Florida. Again, polls suck, but they suck even more when people try to be "scientific" about them.
6. Urban Meyer acts like a teenage boy that couldn't get to third base after losses.
7. Tebow looked like Leak at times today. He wilted under pressure often in the first three quarters. Good fourth quarter, from what I remember. That's what sets him apart and makes him "Superman" as opposed to Leak's dreaded Two-Face.
8. Lastly, as I said earlier, the Florida forums are tearing themselves apart wondering how and why this Gator team lost to this Auburn team. Why do these fans talk up conference strength and then throw a hissy fit when their team drops one or two in conference play? Look, you can go undefeated in a down conference like tOSU last year and get your doors blown off in the bowl game, or you can take your lumps in the regular season and lose 1-3 games but dominate in your bowl game. Very few teams of late go in between, save maybe a USC or '05 Texas.
