THis game looks awesome, but I've never played any of the predecessors. Is it necessary to go back and play any of them, or can I jump right into this one?

You would at least need to go and read some summaries of past games. There is a long running story that started with the first game. The first game actually creates more questions than it answers, and then those questions are getting answered as the series moves along.

Same here, game looks pretty sweet. I might pick it, but Halo is going to dominate the fall video game playing for me

depends, gameplay you can, but if you wanna follow the story well, then you need to. This is the final chapter of the AC series (or at least with this story arc). I would play AC2 and Brotherhood

The storyline is tedious and pretty weak. I would follow 24's plan just to have some reference point as well as experiencing the other worlds.

You should play them because they are fun. I have played 1,2 and almost finished with brotherhood. AC2 is probably my favorite so far. Very fun game.

I picked up Brotherhood and have played some of the first act. I must be missing something. Where's all the stealthy ninja assassin stuff? Right now, it's nothing but running around and mashing buttons.

Thats the beauty of the the game.. you can go all non stealth or you can. the main stealth stuff comes during the missions, you get 100% syncs by not getting detected etc...


side note... Pre-ordered from Gamestop... the damn maya mission got me.

Obvious price mistake. More than likely will be cancelled.

Quite likely, however, when this has happened with Walmart before they've honored the orders or sent a giftcard. Happened to me with a copy of NCAA a few years back, as well as with SOCOM: Confrontation (In hindsight, that game SHOULD have been 75% off).

Regardless, doesn't hurt to order one.
