Artie Lange is a Buckeye fan!

In all seriousness, why the heck would Artie like the Bucks? I get the Yankees (NY), but an Ohio college team?

I'm with you there. I don't know why he likes the Buckeyes or if he really does. "Gun to my head" (as they like to say...) I would say that he doesn't really have a team and he picked someone good to throw his weight behind. How do I explain it ....... when I moved to UK for those three years in the 90s, I made an attempt to watch Premiership League Football. In the absence of really having a background with one team, I went with Manchester United. There was no reason for it, other than there were a lot of fans and they got a lot of press in my area and they were a winning team. Maybe Artie walked into sports apparel store one day when deciding to buy something college football related and he snapped up the OSU shirt?

OK we know they do not carry XXXXL so that couldn't have happened, but you get my point.

If he really had any strong feelings about Ohio State he'd certainly take some of the many opportunities to put John Hein and Scott Ferrall in their place - but he doesn't. I think it is a trendy thing for Artie.

Maybe after his father told him he swings like a cunt he thought of picking up football and wanted to be the next Archie Griffin?

former producer of the show KC Armstrong was an OSU fan, he wore OSU stuff a few times. He could have turned Artie onto them or got him the shirt who knows. Maybe it was the only shirt he could find in XXXXL.....

So your point of this thread is that your idol is a pig that can stand upright and cracks jokes?

Is that how you felt about John Belushi and Chris Farley too? What the fuck does weight have to do with someone being funny or whether or not someone likes a guy for his talent?

If you were being sarcastic in this response, please remember to turn on the sarcasm font ahead of time next time.

John Belushi > Chris Farley > Artie Lang

I know lots of people that wear shirts of certain teams just because the shirt was cheap and it was given to them. My brother bought me a Cubs jersey once when he visited Wrigley field just to give to me a souvenir and the first time I wore it I had people saying to me "you're a Cubs fan eh!".
I have a friend from Detroit, a big Redwings fan and in the 90's everytime they won a cup he'd send me a t-shirt. They made great "work out in the yard and not care if you get dirty" shirts.
