People tell me Ohio State played this weekend and lost to Michigan State. I have already blocked that from my memory but I will go ahead and adjust the standings and trust them. Michigan State is now in the driver’s seat to face Iowa in the B1G championship game but they have to win this weekend. In order for Ohio State to make it back to the B1G championship, they need to win at Michigan and Michigan State to lose to Penn State.

Outside of championship talk, things are coming down to the wire for other teams. There are four teams who need one more win in order to become bowl eligible; Indiana, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Illinois.

Illinois (5-6 overall, 2-5 conference)

Last Week: Lost to Minnesota, 23-32. Illinois has lost five of their last six to force them into a situation where they must win at home against Northwestern in order to become bowl eligible. On Saturday, Illinois brought it within one point late in the fourth quarter but gave up a backbreaking 75 yard touchdown run to lose. Wes Lunt led the Illini offense with 279 yards passing and two touchdowns.
