    • I am asking honestly, not trying to get in a pissing match. Do people really care about this game? If you went to the academy I see why you might since you were forced to go to them, but do others in these services really care? I think the Navy guys do. That may be due to them winning. I always got a kick out of watching my battle buddies lose their shit when Army got curb stomped every year. I suppose the same could be said for rooting for Ohio State and not actually attending the school. I root for Ohio State and all schools from Ohio (except bUCkeye State after their shenanigans) out of state pride.

    To end my rambling, do enlisted guys really give a shit? That is probably the question I should have asked to begin with.

    One of my high school classmates is a West Point alum. He's been going on all week about this game on Facebook despite having not seen Army win in over 10 years.

    I like it because being a football player at an academy is different. The lifestyle, the size and academic requirements - it's remarkable what Navy has been doing in recent years. I also like the old school triple option game, which you don't see much these days.

    I think what makes this game special, patriotism aside, is the nostalgia. This game is probably the last representation of what college football used to be.
