Army-Navy Dec 13. 2014 (M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD)

I remember when I used to love this game and look forward to it. Now when Navy doesn't just cut straight to the chase and obliterate the cadets, the cadets find some incredible way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I despair for my comrades in arms.

On other fronts, I recently took a tour of the Office of Military and Veteran Students at OSUs Student Services Office. At a time when this group has been taken advantage of by "for profit" educators, when graduation rates have been low, when many public schools have made little to no effort to understand the unique issues facing military personnel, Ohio State has built what is now recognized as one of the five best programs for vets and military in the US!

They have converted an old fraternity house into housing for vets only. There is a mil/vet rec/study room in Smith Labs. Counseling and mentoring services begin the moment the student enters OSU. Issues with VA and GI Bill are resolved by advocates "in house." But most of all there is a "can do" atmosphere in the office I haven't seen in most university offices I've had to deal with along with a what-should-we-be-looking-at-to-improve spirit.

Best of all is the bottom line. Last spring the grad rate for Military and Vets was better than that for the OSU Honors Program!

Made me proud to be a vet, a retiree, but especially a Buckeye. Welcome home, new vets. Thanks for your service and Kick 'em Mule!

A time out changed the game. Go figure. Army appeared to convert 4th and 1 but the refs ruled Navy called time out before the play. The replay showed that was questionable, to say the least. On the do over Navy stopped them, then quickly drove into Army territory late in the half.

Navy takes advantage of the second chance, driving the field to tie it with 18 seconds left. Big drive there. Army didn't handle the transition well.

Navy 10
Army 7

End of the 3rd. Army is in the game but their offense is going to have to do SOMETHING or the streak will continue.
