Army is coming to LSU next year.
how to you greet them coming out of the tunnel?
Like do I cheer them because they’re freaking Army?
Booing just doesn’t seem right.
Flipping them off and hoping their moms choke to death on AIDs infested camel dicks (like we do for Bama) seems overboard too.

I recall a few years ago when we played a service academy (Navy iirc) the players said afterwards the cadets were talking crazy smack and they didn't quite know how to handle it. Similar to the conundrum you outlined.

Nooch - I have only been to one game were Navy was the road team, they were politely cheered. This was at Muncie, Indiana vs Ball St.
I have been to 1 Army-Navy game in Philly. Great experience but COLD. It was like 20.
When I was in the Navy, the USNA guys were the hard-core ones. I only served with 3 from USNA, 1 Ensign, 1 Lieutenant JG and 1 Marine Corps 2nd Lieutenant. They were gung-ho and by the book, but not necessarily shitheads. I was in Cryptoanalysis, though, not the fleet.

I saw Navy play the Buckeyes in the Shoe. The crowd was very respectful of Navy until it got to the 4th quarter and it was a tight game. Navy scored a rare long pass TD to make it 29-27, and lined up to go for two. Nobody gave a fuck that it was Navy at that point. The Bucks got a pick-two and won 31-27. This was in 2009, I think.
As for this game, I just enjoy the spectacle and how much both teams want it. I tend to pull for the 'dog, but they're pretty much on the same level this year. Neither of them are going to a bowl game, so this is their season. This is their Super Bowl. Hope we get another close battle. I love the themed uniforms in recent years.

Navy's Commodore uniforms that day are the best ones I've ever seen! Utah had a great alternate also. Our black ones are pretty nice but not like those.
