One more time, the SEC 3-way tiebreaker.
If Arkansas and Alabama win this week, there will be three 11-1 teams tied in the SEC West, and they all will have 1 win and 1 loss against each other. The tiebreaker falls to the BCS Standings, but with a twist. They look at the top 2 (of the 3) teams in the BCS Standings, and if they are within 5 spots of each other (which is a certainty), the head-to-head winner of the game between those 2 teams goes to the SEC CCG to play Georgia.
SEC particpant if Arkansas & Bama win this week:
LSU - if Arkansas remains below Bama and LSU in the BCS standings
Bama - if LSU falls below both Bama and Arkansas in the BCS standings
Ark - if Arkansas jumps Bama and LSU stays ahead of Bama in the BCS Standings
Most of the computers will still have LSU at #1 (and probably Bama at #2), even if LSU loses, so the voters will either have to play it straight and rank them with their personal view; or rig it by placing the team they don't want in the SEC CCG below the others.
But the top-2 team that loses that tiebreaker will avoid having to play UGA in Atlanta and will most likely still get a spot in the BCS Title Game, so it's not a bad deal. And the #3 team just has to pull like Hell for UGA in the SEC CCG in order to get their rematch in the BCS Title Game.
If either LSU or Auburn get a win, things are much simpler.
