I've followed this sport with passion since I can remember. I've never seen such blatantly fixed games as have been played the last few weeks in the SEC. Why even watch? Very disheartening.

I don't know the sideline reporter for this game (Tracy Wolfson), but when she was interviewing Urban Meyer after the game, she seemed much more interested in having a 3-way with Meyer and Tebow than in asking questions that might be relevant to the viewing audience.

I really expected the viewers to see her unzip Urban's fly and watch as Tracy wolfs one.

Sadly the Meyer/Timtebow knobfest is not limited to sideline reporting.

This is just another example of bad officiating this year, some of the worst I have seen, and not limited to the SEC.

I haven't seen a whole lot of SEC before this weekend I admit. But the bad calls I have noticed are the ridiculous excessive celebration penalties and how subjectively they call them. Tebow always draws attention to himself after a TD and if they were fair he would have racked up a number of these.

Make room for Danielson and Lundquist.

Sorry Nutria, but Mississippi State punched that ball into the endzone during the 4th quarter of the game against LSU too.

that play was close enough that i could've lived with either result.
i'd be pissed that we gave up a TD, but not at the officials for calling it one.

but that personal foul on Arky may be worse than:

the bullsh!t non PI call when our CB destroyed a Bama receiver and picked off a pass in '02

that bullsh!t leverage call the refs pulled out their ass in our game against Auburn in '04.

or the bullsh!t non PI call in the 1st half against Auburn in '06
or the bullsh!t PI they did call on us in the 3rd quarter at Auburn in '06
or the bullsh!t non PI call in the 4th qtr at Auburn '06

or the bullsh!t "fumble" they called in favor of Auburn against Florida in '06

or both bullsh!t excessive celebrations they called in the LSU/UGA game this year.

these were all calls that have ZERO explanation for going the way they went.
and this was just off the top of my head.

I'm sure gator, big woof, or that inbred redneck that pulls for Auburn can offer even more examples.

If you haven't seen the last drive yet, Nutria, look for the no-call on what should have been an obvious offensive interference call on Florida when Tebow threw deep from the Arkansas 40. The interfernce in the end zone was a receiver going over the DB's back to prevent an interception.

That call would have given them a 1st-and 25 (I think it was on 1st-and 10, not 2nd and 10) from their own 45 with a little over a minute to go. If they didn't get that first down, it would have been a long-range FG try at best.

Well said, the SEC officials are so in the bag for the Gators.

YouTube - Arkansas gets Screwed by Refs, Worst call I Have ever seen (Personal Foul

They should be ashamed of themselves on this call. You can say a penalty doesn't decide a game but back-to-back 15 yarders decided this game plain and simple.

Very questionable, but you can make an argument (weak, yes - subjective, certainly) that the Hog instituted helmet on helmet contact in the play.

Not saying my orange and blue glasses don't fog up, just that I can see a way that the ref might have seen him as leading with his helmet. I need to know the angle of the ref and what he saw. But H-2-H would explain a "personal foul" call.

Finally, both of the questionable calls were on first down - I think - and while it sure got us closer to field goal range, we had three more downs to get ten in each case, and you cannot say that without the call the game would absolutely been different, like in a 4th down situation.

(And the Swindle in the Swamp gives us the right to get several more of these - karma wise.)

The SEC has stated that this was a bad call. They said the pass interference call was judgment.

That said, the guy who posted his video on youtube needs to fix his TV screen.

Not saying it was a good call Woody, just sayin' I can see how a PF made by a ref watching the game in real time might get called when you or I don't see it - and how it could happen sans "the fix is in".

Unlike a touchdown, the booth can't go back and review a bad first impression PF and overturn it.

Yeah, I wasn't posting really to disagree with you, just to point out that SEC has actually spoken on the issue.
