The Buckeyes are heading into their idle week on a high, after going into Norman, Okla., and punching the Sooners in the mouth over in over again.
All night.
Every Buckeye fan wanted a win. Some of us wanted more. Are we happy today?
Read on and find out, starting with your’s truly.
I was not going to be greedy.
A win: Hell yeah?
Health: Gareon Conley will be fine, according to social media reports quoting Coach Urban Meyer. The upper body injury is not believed to be serious. The rest? Just bumps and bruises otherwise.
Chip
Good start: Other than the first three-and-out, OSU fans could not have asked for a better beginning.
Stop the run: The interior run defense was stout all night. Need to tighten up the corners but otherwise, Oklahoma’s run game looked basic.
Let J.T. Rest: Sorry. They called his number and needed to. This to me, is an integral part of the OSU spread.
Use Curtis right: Actually, they used him left and it turned into a nice long touchdown run.
WVa
Defense, defense, defense: Let the Eagles tell you how often the Buckeyes defense slugged Oklahoma. The Sooners put up some yardage, but the Silver Bullets had their ears pinned back all night.
Mix it up: Plenty of options were used on offense. But Barrett to Noah Brown was the main ingredient in the Buckeye Buffet.
Don’t get cocky: Not this group. They showed some emotion and were confident, but you didn’t see any Buckeyes dropping the ball before the goal line. Ahem.
Mike Meals
Pressure Baker Mayfield: He got hit. A lot. And sacked too. And he was forced into some dumb decisions.
Stop the OU rushing attack: This has been covered already. But I’ll say it again: Meh. Let someone else say it.
Have fun: No doubt they enjoyed. Especially Barrett and Brown.
JC
Good job Mr. Meals: He called it. They rattled Mayfield a lot.
Shine on J.T.: The entire offense followed his lead. He took a big step forward Saturday.
A win: Yup.
Ben
Shut down D: Only allowed 17 points on defense. Not too shabby.
Better start: Yup, covered that as well. A 14-0 lead definitely falls under that category.

WR who?: You wanted a WR to step up? May I introduce you to Mr. Brown?
Go deep J.T.: Didn’t really need to and only tried it a couple times. You also wanted 400 passing yards. Didn’t need to do that either. In fact, I would have said if he threw for that many that OSU was playing catch-up.
Dominant D: Copy cat. LOL.
