Well wasn’t that idle week quite active.
I’m sure the last thing Urban Meyer told his players before they left Thursday was to be smart.
Whoops.
Anywho, it was quite the interesting weekend where OSU wasn’t concerned as well. Near-upsets, blown calls by officials, bad decisions by coaches. Oh my!
Without further ado, here is how tBBC staff fared. Much better than a certain ACC officiating crew I’m sure.
Scott
Irish eyes smiling: It wasn’t as easy as I was hoping for, but it was a win.
Upset special: There were some close calls but nothing major.
A kick on the grass: Oh well. Elder beat my Centerville Elks 4-0. But Elk Pride Never Dies.
WVa Buckeye
Let the Owls be real: They were real. But not real enough to wake up the echoes.
Little Brown Jug: Unfortunately it’s in Ann Arbor as we speak.
ACC what?: More like ACC what the hell is up with the officiating? Enough said. Although UNC over Pitt was nice.
Mike
Non Power 5 to thrive as Temple, Memphis and Houston win to stay undefeated: Call this Meat Loaf. Two out of three ain’t bad.
Leach Field: Ohhhhhhhhh so close.
Caddyshack: Where the gopher always wins if the coach doesn’t botch the call.
Ken
Go West, young men: American Athletic Conference West teams Houston and Memphis remained undefeated. Impressive teams.
Nebraska and Purdue show competence: Well, they could score. Glad it wasn’t a national game. Woof.
Patrick
Keep the Little Brown Jug: The Gophers played inspired football. But the jug is hangin’ with Harbaugh.
Upset alert: Not so much.
Iowa perfection: I’m starting to worry about the Hawkeyes as a potential opponent in the B1G title game. OK. No I’m not.
Cannon Crew: One frickin’ touchdown.
Joe
Win won for Kill: Almost.
Go East, young men: Temple made a statement but could not find the right punctuation.
SEC scrambled: Nope.
Michael
A Minnesota win: See anywhere above.
Little guys keep winning: If only Temple could have won.
Another kick-6: Can’t recall seeing any. But the Miami play was sort of a kick-6.

A Minnesota win over TTUN: Again, see above.
The little guys keep winning: Blah, blah, blah.
Hot Knicks: A 2-1 start isn’t bad, is it?

100 combined points: Not quite, but it was entertaining.
