I’m just glad Virginia Tech/Hawaii week is over.
The NCAA really needs to take a long hard look at what it did to OSU and make sure no team ever has to play two games in a week.
Credit Hawaii for playing hard but on a short week it was obviously tough to get up for this one. It’s different for a defense so don’t give me that baloney.
Anyhow, despite it all, the offense still scored 31 points, so there’s that.
We got the win. But did we get to see everything we wanted?

A quick win: Nope
A healthy win: Yep.
A few sustained drives: Meh.
No personal fouls: Two stupid ones.
WVa Buckeye
Special, special teams: thought it was improved.
Defense wins: Defense was amazing. Silver Bullets are back.
Zeke and Brax: Not sure they blew up but they combined for 173 rushing yards.
Ken
A win: They won.
No injuries: All healthy, from what I can tell.
No turnovers: Woo hoo!
No high snaps from Boren: Looked good.
Improved formatting: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jason
Points: Got 31 on offense, but it was a lot of Zeke. Need others to chip in.
Ground: Zeke had 27 for 112. Team had 229 total. Could do better.
Pound: Defense, sacks and turnovers. Oh my!
Special teams: Wasn’t hateful.
No remorse: Wellllllll.
Patrick
Carries: You wanted 20-plus. You got 27.
Shutout: Check!
Braxton: Eight runs and two catches. Rather pedestrian however if I may be so bold.
Charles
Disciplined defense: Solid effort.
Establish the running game: Had 229 as a team. Could have and maybe should have had ore.
No injuries: I think we were OK.
Four Script Ohios: Always great to see!
Joe
Continued improvement for Cardale: Don’t want to say he took a step back, but he didn’t move forward.
Get Campbell the ball: Glenn Campbell? Parris didn’t have a catch.
True freshman stand up: Can’t say for sure about this one. But I reckon not too many played.
Seven straight 40+: Streak ended.
Battle through: They battled and battled. Not pretty but it’s a win.
Stop Wittek and Pendroza: Totally non-existant.
Mali Buckeye
Healthy: See above.
Wealthy: Didn’t really spread the wealth. It was a lot of Zeke.
No false starts: Four too many.
Bonus: Uniforms rocked.
