Sad. Gators love Wendys. Dave's daughter went to UF, and it was Dave who paid for the weight room and other facilities improvements that helped cement some of Charlie Pell's first classes.

I think the Raffle Brothers kids went to Ohio State back in the early 1970s. So, at least there was some connection back then, and it was an Ohio chain, but all that is long gone.
I think it is just a shame that every one of those national brands that started in Columbus in the 1960s now seems to be gone from town. When they closed the store across from the old COSI location, the writing already seemed to be on the wall.
Well, it added a lot of wealth to central Ohio over the years and good luck to them. Let's hope some other local businesses fill the gap.

Let's hope they don't make all the Wendy's locations as dirty as the Arby's restaurants I've been to over the last few years. Wendy's isn't bad for fast food - most of the Arby's I've been to lately have been filthy.
