I'm guessing the numbers in red are the national rankings? How are Penn State and Iowa both #41 nationally, but Penn State is #6 and Iowa is #7 in the Big Ten? Same with Michigan State and Minnesota (#55 nationally and #9 and #10 in the Big Ten).

Based on this summary of just BCS Football conferences, Rutgers comes in and immediately makes Top Five in the B1G. Nebraska has done a pretty good job of fitting in academically (at least through APR) with the rest of the B1G.
Maryland is 14 points behind Michigan and is last in the conference.

Mizzou joins the SEC and stumbles in football but now leads the league in APR.
Tex A&M smack dab in the middle of the pack. SEC needs to drop Tennessee for Clemson....

To escape the academic bowl ban, UT?s next APR score needs to wind up somewhere north of 950. Given that the best the Vols have done is 934, that seems a tall order. So we?re looking at a potential situation where Tennessee gets that magical sixth win for the first time in a while, but still can?t go bowling.

A couple of people start blaming the low numbers on the NCAA's infractions (forcing players to transfer, saying transfers lower the APR). One guy comes in with a good breakdown of how the APR works (I can only guess that he is right, but I don't know for sure), saying that the transfers affect the APR maybe SLIGHTLY (maybe round down instead of up), but he gets completely ignored. EVIDENTS!
