Thing that pisses me off is that it uses non secure transfer for email (pop3 and imap I believe)

I'd try it to replace the blackberry I have now, but our MIS dept won't let us use it since the mail isn't secure.

pussies

Way over priced.
But, when Apple applies the same screen to I-pods it will be way cool!
Maybe for next Christmas? (rumored)
I don't think it is overpriced in relation to other new phones that have come out. With such a new and different phone, it is not supposed to cost the same as a regular phone when it first comes out.

And this is why I believe the iPhone will strictly be a niche product. Businesses are going to stay as far away from it as possible (as it serves no purpose for them). Blackberries and other smartphones sell like hotcakes because businesses buy them by the crate-load. If Apple somehow convinces us that the average Joe needs a smartphone then, well...damn, I'll be impressed.

Yeah, there's already been a discussion at my company regarding the iPhone. The thing hasn't even been released yet and our department is already getting mail about it, bleh.

Honestly, I wonder how much this phone will actually sell. I have a MP3 Player on my Motorola Razor and have never used it. I have an 80g ipod that I love and take with me.

Looks awesome and i would love to have one but heres the cacth:

got a client who works for verizon and shes saying that mac or at&t or whoever will NOT insure iPhones.. now if your like me and have the occasional drop or one too many to drink, this is not a good thing for a $500 phone or whatever

from another friend who works at a verizon retail store, LG is coming out with a 'iPhone' that will blow this out of the water in a few months
