I was there once for a trip my gym sponsored and would never, ever do it again. I'd been hoping to meet people, but it was mostly older couples and the first thing they did on arrival was abuse and threaten to run over the Illini tailgaters who offered to share their beer. The streets were literally lined with beer cans and bottles starting blocks away from the stadium, and between dodging random thrown items and vomit, hearing the "fans" sit and cuss out their team through the whole game (the student section did the jump-around, but I don't think anyone else ever got to their feet), and being cornered by a random group of guys and asked to "judge a hard-on contest" while walking back to the bus, it was a relief to get out of there. I couldn't bring myself to buy a Wiscy t-shirt, but wore scarlet :) and blended in sufficiently. Can't imagine what would have happened if I'd been walking around in OSU gear.

My husband would love to tailgate with some of his fellow Ohio State Fans. He sometimes is forced to go to WI with me:wink: Tailgating and parking is always an issue. There are plenty of places to go just normally a little bit of a hike to get to Camp Randall.

----Guys the fans at Madison are crazy....but mostly the students. I went to a WVU V VTech game and the same thing happened to me with the beer cans and all the stupid crap...unfortunate that it happens in a lot of places. I will give you a heads up...if you are going to the game...the students/student housing is on the left side of the stadium if you are standing in front of Camp Randall.

Also parking is a pain! Be careful and get to places early! If you need help just let me know...I will help as much as I can

Hopefully everyone that is making the trip to WI will have a good time!

If you want to tailgate shoot me a message...we can do it up

LOL It wouldn't surprise me. I have been to a lot of stadiums and if you go on the UW website you really can't find an "items prohibited" list for Camp Randall. But maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot.

Going?

Id love to go. Camp Randall is a great venue for a game. Some are obnoxious, but you get used to that at the shoe. Instead....56 inch DLP, a refreshment or 5, and some pizza at halftime. Feet Up....kids in bed....wife getting me a Labaat or 5 (not), and flip around during commercials to check other games. :biggrin:

Lets put it this way. Last game I went too at Camp Randall (which was only 3 weeks ago) they don't pat you down when you go in. I would not be waving it in the air cuz you will get kicked out but a little here in a coke bought at the stadium never hurt anyone! HOWEVER, the game I was at was the Marshall game with an early kick off....this is a whole different ball game Saturday
