Anyone get their Michigan sod to grow?

Senior
I planted mine in a plastic container with a potting soil and sand mix and watered it with some Miracle Gro once a week while it sat under a "plant lamp." The origial grass all died, but within about 3 weeks after the game, I had some new shoots coming up. Then a week later, it all died. I still have it sitting here. Is there any chance to get it growing again or getting some seeds from the dead stuff? I'm no green thumb, so looking for some help!

grass from '98 is growing in my old houses side yard still.. we came home and stuck it in the ground and never had any problems.. same with grandpas from '98

I didn't put it in the yard because I wanted to grow a mini version of the field. At least that was my original plan

Maybe I will try to plant it out in the yard and see what happens........
