Seems like I was down for the count a good month, month and a half. I also remember having this godawful taste in my mouth all the time. :Anticipates the obvious:

This required a response. But it was just too easy.

I had it in college and couldn't shake it for months mainly because I'd start to feel a little better and then would try to exercise or stay outside too long and it would come back harder. Make sure you're really over it before you try to get back to your regular life.

I got it the summer after my freshman year of college. Seems like thee olde ex was doing some extracarricular activities behind my back. I too got the swollen glands, fever, and drainage of energy. I was only feeling bad for about a month. My case was pretty mild. The day I knew something was wrong was when I was working at the zoo. I was designated parking lot duty. It was probably 85 degrees outside and there was no shade. Around 3:00 in the afternoon, I sat on the curb and passed out. My supervisor came by on her golfcart and found me asleep. She said she called my name several times and had to shake me to wake me up. That night, my girlfriend came over, we watched a movie, got a little freaky, I started to finger her and I fell asleep with my middle finger up in her. She turned over, shook me, and I was like, "What?"...she's like, "Did you just fall asleep?" I Was like, "No, why?" She's like, "No, you definitely just passed out, are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine." "Are you sure?" "I think so, I fell asleep at work today, it was probably from being out in the sun." She felt my head, "You're burning up." "Really, I don't feel like I have a fever." "You definitely do." Two days later my services at were no longer needed. I went to the doctor the day after I was let go, had a fever of 101, and I typically have a lower than normal body temp anyway, I'm in the 97.7 range, so I was feeling like absolute shit. Anyway, lots of fluids and if you got it from your girlfriend, she should have no problem giving you some head. While I may have been tired, I could still rock wood. Good luck!

Yeah, one semester in college. I was in the doctor's office every week for cold, flu, strep, whatever... finally, at the end of the semester, they figured out why my immunity had been off for months. I was taking 24 credits, working two jobs, playing soccer or volleyball every afternoon, and just generally pushing myself like mad because I didn't want to be as lazy as I felt, and then falling asleep every time I sat down. Good thing it was low-level enough that I didn't do any permanent damage, save for a decent-sized dent in an otherwise good GPA.

My sister had it several years earlier, and there was no mistake about it... she couldn't get out of bed for two weeks without help.
