Anyone else under a heat advisory?

I played golf this morning and it was miserably hot. I drank 2 huge bottles of Gatorade and I was still dehydrated and worn out by the end of the round. I'm happy to be sitting in the frigid AC of my office now.

This thread has become quite handy. I thought I was posting an image at the time, but it appears to be a periodically updating link. Now I can check for rain without leaving the Planet.

We have had heavy thunderstorms here all AM.
As long as it does not clear up and turn this place into a sauna it will be a relief. High of only 90 today.

Three a days! Oh how miss two a days, not.
We have the speed and strength clinics going on at my health club and those kids look beat after coming in from the speed drills out on the grass. I think they break the classes up by school so the kids that have it at noon have to suffer the most. They have a lot of young ladies out there also.

School starts in two weeks for my daughter.
I cannot imagine living anywhere without A/C.

We had two a days for soccer in high school and the weather usually was not too bad as they were early morning and early evening. Conditioning before then was always bad. I remember my junior and senior years the temps being in the 90's, which was rare for Akron back then. Conditioning was always mid-afternoon and involved running 6 miles and then sprints afterwards. Fortunately, part of the run was through the woods so you had some shade.

My second apartment up here in Michigan did not have air and it sucked. I remember sleeping on my back deck several summer nights as the apartment itself was miserable.

They aren't too bad...the SCHSL just passed that rule this year to limit it to 3adays. We did 4adays at camp last year.

Practice #1 is offense or defense at 6 am, #2 is all Special teams at 10 am, #3 will be whichever we didn't do in #1 at 5 pm. Maximum of 2 hours for each practice. Then chalk talk in positions at night.

The kids who did not make their minimum workouts are the ones in deep shit...4:30 am "breakfast crew." Basically 60 minutes of hell conditioning to start your day...
