Anyone else under a heat advisory?

Oh yeah.
We have heat. I think we have been over 100 all weekend with our normal high humidity.
I worked at my deer camp Saturday AM and then went home and mowed the yard and weed whacked. I was drenched the entire day.

Sunday my father in law called and asked for help assembling some storage drawers for his garage. We were in the garage and by he time I read the assembly instructions I was soaked. Thank the lord it only took about 30 minutes to finish.

The kids swam yesterday and they complained about the pool being so warm.

82 degress at 7:00 AM with a ton of humidity.

I have been traveling the past two weeks and get USA Today, McPaper as I call it, courtesy of Marriott. Their entire weather map is orange and red. I have been looking and I think Canada and south of Seattle are the only places that are cool now.

I have said it many times. If they had not invented air conditioning the south would still be uninhabited swampland now.

Yesterday was just weird as hell. All afternoon I am outside drinking and pitching some horsehoes. Finally we go in to play poker and I leave at 1am and it is hot and sticky as hell. It was nice and comfortable when I went inside at 8pm. Then 5 hours later the temperature goes up and humidty flies through the roof. Then after an hour at the strip club. (Hey, what else do you do after winning $100 playing poker?) Needless to say by the time I got home it was freaking hotter outside at 3am then when it was 8pm and the sun was out.

This morning? I just thank my lucky stars my office building is nicely air conditioned and I packed my lunch so I don't have to leave til later.

Took my nephew to a Dayton Dragons game yesterday, and we were sweating a lot, just sitting in our seats. I've heard stories, from the smokers, of how hot it is today. Good thing I came in at seven, and I packed my lunch today. No reason to go outside, until quittin' time. I'll probably go see the 4:10 Wedding Crashers today to. That way I'm not killing my POS window AC.

Wedding Crashers is one of the best comedies to come out in a long while. A great way to stay away from the heat. I might have to watch it a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time.

Oh yeah, made the mistake of going outside to hit the ATM... I think I brought the heat into my office!
